One operating system, three scales

Put software over a farm already running, drop container modules onto a site, or build an entire building. In every case the same N.FARM.AI controls the growing environment.

Farm OS

Farm operating system

Operator reviewing growth data in Farm OS

Turn an existing farm into a smart farm without replacing the equipment. Farm OS reads temperature, humidity, CO₂, light and nutrient sensors, watches the crop in real time, and drives lighting, HVAC and irrigation against the setpoints you define.

  • Real-time environmental dashboard
  • Rule-based automated control and alerting
  • Per-cycle growth analysis reports
  • Remote management from mobile

CUBE

Modular container vertical farm

A row of CUBE container modules at CUBE.ICHEON

A sealed vertical farm assembled from 40ft container modules. Built in the factory and assembled on site, so construction is short and site conditions barely matter. Add modules when you need more capacity.

  • Fully sealed clean cultivation environment (GAP certified)
  • 20+ tonnes of leafy greens per year
  • Plug-and-play, turnkey installation
  • Remote monitoring with 24/7 technical support

Module architecture

Five module types assemble into a farm

Each module is built to standard container dimensions. Combine only what you need, and add more later.

  1. AAirlockWhere hygiene is prepared before entering the farm
  2. BWorkSeeding, harvest, trimming, washing, packing, and equipment sanitation
  3. CCultivationWhere crops grow from transplant through to harvest
  4. DNurseryRaising seedlings to a uniform, healthy standard
  5. EStorageHolding materials and harvested crop

04Why modular

Add modules instead of building one large warehouse

Vertical farms fall into warehouse, single-container and modular types. N.THING chose to bolt standardised modules together in parallel — lower upfront cost and lead time, and when one module has a problem you isolate and sanitise just that module.

05Deployment

If you have a site, it can be built

A November 2024 amendment substantially widened where vertical farms may be built in Korea, clearing much of what used to block deployments at the first step.

Regulatory change

Effective November 2024

Jointly amended by the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy. Applicability varies with the site, so we check it together during review.

Permitted on farmland
Amended farmland legislation allows vertical farms of any form on designated agricultural land.
Permitted in industrial complexes
Building-type vertical farms may occupy any of 1,315 industrial complexes nationwide, including the Iksan National Food Cluster and 483 agro-industrial parks.
Farmland preservation levy waived
Vertical farms built on farmland are exempt from the farmland preservation charge.
Longer temporary-use term
For container-type farms, temporary use of farmland extends from 8 years to 16.
VAT refund on equipment
A VAT refund applies to core equipment — sensors, actuators, environmental controllers, nutrient systems and LEDs.

Based on the amendments effective 12 November 2024. Actual applicability depends on the site’s zoning and the local authority’s determination.

How a deployment runs

  1. 01

    Enquiry and review

We confirm site conditions, target output and budget, then propose a configuration.

  2. 02

    Design

Module composition, layout and equipment specification, fitted to the site.

  3. 03

    Permitting

We run the cultivation-facility permitting process with you. Approvals secured in Icheon and Yeoju.

  4. 04

    Manufacture and build

Modules are built in the factory and assembled on site, so site conditions matter less.

  5. 05

    Commissioning and training

The grow programme is configured and your operators are trained.

  6. 06

    Ongoing support

Remote monitoring, technical support and cultivation consulting continue after handover.

As of March 2025 we provide operations management to 16 client facilities in Korea.

06Fresh Produce

Or skip the farm and just take the greens

Pesticide-free leafy greens from farms we operate ourselves, supplied year-round at consistent quality and volume — with none of the price and supply swings that come with weather.
