            Summary: Martraw collects location, camera, health, and authentication data solely to provide the game experience. We do not sell your personal data. You can delete your data at any time.
        

1. Introduction

N.THING Inc. ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates Martraw ("App"), a location-based grocery shopping gamification application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App.

By using Martraw, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

Authentication Data: When you sign in with Apple, we receive an Apple-provided user identifier and a relay email address. We do not receive your real name or actual email unless you choose to share them.
Profile Information: Nickname, avatar selection
User Content: Notes added to collected items
Social Data: Friend codes, group membership, and nicknames shared with friends or group members

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

Note on Apple Sign In: If you sign in with Apple using "Hide My Email," we only receive an Apple relay address — not your real email. You may also use the App as a guest without any sign-in.

2.4 AI-Powered Image Analysis

When you use the food photo recognition or receipt scanning features, captured images may be sent to a third-party AI service (Anthropic Claude API) for analysis. Images are:

Transmitted securely via HTTPS
Used solely for real-time food recognition or receipt parsing
Not stored by the AI service after processing
Not used for AI model training

If your device is offline, only on-device (local) analysis is performed.

3. How We Use Your Information

Provide and maintain the App's core features (including Apple Watch companion app)
Authenticate users via Apple Sign In or guest mode
Detect when you enter/exit hunting grounds (stores)
Track mission progress and achievements
Display store-specific and nearby leaderboards
Enable social features (friends, groups, challenges)
Recognize food items and parse receipt data
Allow sharing of achievements to social media (Instagram, X, Facebook) or photo library
Send push notifications (hunting ground alerts, daily missions, event reminders)
Generate usage statistics to improve the App
Respond to customer support requests

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do NOT sell your personal data.

We may share information only in these limited circumstances:

Service Providers: Third-party services that help us operate the App (e.g., analytics providers like Firebase, AI services like Anthropic), under strict confidentiality agreements
Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights
Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets

5. Data Storage and Security

Most data is stored locally on your device
Cloud-synced data (leaderboards, achievements) is encrypted in transit and at rest
We use industry-standard security measures
No system is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security

6. Your Rights and Choices

6.1 All Users

Access: View your data within the App's Profile section
Delete: Delete your profile and all associated data in Settings
Permissions: Revoke location, camera, or health permissions in your device settings at any time

6.2 European Users (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have additional rights:

Right to access, rectify, or erase your personal data
Right to data portability
Right to object to or restrict processing
Right to withdraw consent

6.3 California Users (CCPA)

California residents have the right to:

Know what personal information is collected
Request deletion of personal information
Opt-out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell data)
Non-discrimination for exercising privacy rights

7. Children's Privacy

Martraw is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or applicable age in your jurisdiction). The App does not require account creation or personal details.

8. International Data Transfers

We are based in South Korea. If you access the App from outside South Korea, your information may be transferred to and processed in South Korea or other countries where our service providers operate. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers.

9. Data Retention

Local Data: Retained until you delete the App or clear data
Cloud Data: Retained while your profile is active; deleted within 30 days of account deletion request
Analytics Data: Aggregated data may be retained indefinitely in anonymized form

10. Third-Party Services

The App may use the following third-party services:

Apple Sign In: User authentication — Privacy Policy
Firebase (Google): Analytics, cloud storage, authentication, push notifications (FCM) — Privacy Policy
Apple HealthKit: Step count, distance, and calorie data (iPhone and Apple Watch) — Privacy Policy

When you share content to Instagram, X (Twitter), or Facebook, your shared data is governed by those platforms' respective privacy policies.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy in the App and updating the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
